Best Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
This time of year has me reaching for my slippers, a cozy sweater and a hot mug of deliciousness.
Now for some of you that may mean a steaming cup of coffee, but not for this gal. I love the flavour of coffee, but I'm not really a fan of coffee itself. Please don't hate me!
I'm a mocha or latte kinda girl. Hot milk with chocolate and a shot of espresso...usually decaf...are my cup of tea...ahem...coffee.
Yes, yes I know plain coffee has less sugar than a flavoured latte, BUT considering I have one less than once every two weeks, I figure it's all good.
At home I don't bother to make myself lattes, but with how cold it is outside, it's tempting! I start to think about it and then realize I would have to buy some coffee and a machine to brew it and that just seems like way too much effort ;)
Instead, my solution has always been hot chocolate. I've been known to cave this time of year and buy hot chocolate mix on occasion, but when I do, I try not to think about the ingredients.
That is until now. Now I have a solution to my hot, creamy, delicious drink dilemma without having to buy a machine and at the same time get my chocolate fix. Win win!!
This hot cocoa mix makes a great gift in a jar idea and is handy to have available when a warm decadent drink is needed :)
For all you hot chocolate and mocha fans, you're welcome ;)
