2018 Spring Cleaning Challenge Week 2 Day 4 & 5
Over the next couple of days, we will be finishing off our kitchen.
I have combined Week 2, Days 4 & 5 since they are the same project and don't need explaining twice.
Depending on the size of your kitchen and how many cabinets you have, the kitchen cabinets can be a big job, so feel free to spilt it into 2 or more days; upper cabinets and lower cabinets. You can also get the kids involved to get it done faster.
Before starting, make sure your countertop or table is clean because you need to put the contents from inside the cabinets, somewhere.
Pick the cupboard you would like to start with and work your way clockwise around the room until you are back at the beginning. I suggest doing all the upper cabinets first and once complete, work on the lower cabinets. You could also do all the interiors first and then do the exteriors. Do what makes sense to you and will be easy to keep track of.
You Will Need:
- Microfibre cloth
- Toothpicks or toothbrush
- Remove all contents from the cabinet (you can do one at a time)
- Wipe down (or vacuum if needed) shelves with microfiber cloth, damp with warm, soapy water.
- Dry thoroughly
- Put everything back
If you are putting back food items, make sure to wipe the containers down first before you put them back. You don’t want to put a sticky vinegar bottle back on your clean shelf.
- With a microfiber cloth damp with warm soapy water, wipe the cabinet fronts and handles.
- If there are seams in the cabinets, use a toothpick or soft bristle scrub brush to loosen anything that has settled there. Wipe away with cloth.
That is it for Week 2!
